Taiwan-born artist Jill Tsai founded Travel Things Museum in 2019. Over the years, Jill has travelled to all corners of the globe seeking fresh inspiration for her artwork. Everywhere she has been she has encountered artisans, craftsfolk, and other inspiring people producing or displaying “things” that have piqued her interest. Over time, she assembled a cornucopia of objects and made mental notes about the connections between them – despite encountering them in sometimes quite different cultures and regions – and thought it might be interesting to present them to the wider world somehow. From this kernel of an idea grew Travel Things Museum!
