About the Travel Things Museum
Travel Things: a London-based museum of global travel, which exists to present the idiosyncrasies and culture of twenty-first-century living, in every corner of the world.
At the core of our museum is the collection that has been selected by museum founder and curator Jill Tsai for their cultural and aesthetic qualities.
In our museum, EVERYTHING is art: cultural literature, found objects, artisanal treasures, artefacts that are culturally iconic, and everyday items celebrate the history of objects in the twenty-first century. Each object is accompanied by its unique story of place and culture.

We aim to exhibit artefacts relating to modern life around the world, to intrigue and educate the curious. A person with awareness of the world and its cultures can’t fail to appreciate our remarkable planet and all who live on it.

Exhibitions
The museum will exhibit three times each year, showcasing travel documentaries, short films and photographs that demonstrate everyday life around the world in the twenty-first century.
The Travel Things Museum sees its primary task as creating a forum dedicated to everyday objects from all over the world.
Our programme of events will develop the museum into an organisation that spreads the message, “Even an ordinary item has a greater story to tell."
The Museum Concept Store
Alongside our museum, a handpicked selection of our discoveries will be available to purchase. Global examples of art, design, crafts and curiosities make this a truly unique commercial proposition. The store will accompany every exhibition and operate online 24/7 throughout the year.
Travel Things Museum operates as a non-profit organisation, our online/on-site concept store helps to support the museum. It offers unusual things and striking examples of contemporary art and design from all over the world.
Your Help & Support
We are seeking public funding & grants and invite donations from anyone interested in supporting the museum’s work and development. The initial funding will be the catalyst that fuses our collections, our passion & vision for the future, and enables the journey to begin. Ultimately, to be financially independent as part of a self-sufficient business model.
